Hygro Training offers full-time paid experiential training to qualifying students. Gaining hands-on experience while working in the agricultural industry, network with professionals in the agricultural sector and learn from some of the most experienced specialists in South Africa.
In recognizing the social need to develop suitable candidates for the Agriculture industry, Hygro Training has embarked on a programme to provide students from various national tertiary institutions with the opportunity to complete their experiential training year with the company, as they require a year's in-service training at a company of their choice to qualify for their National Diploma.
This is a win-win situation where the students not only gain the necessary experience to complete their National Diploma qualification, but also get exposure to the industry. For Hygro Training the programme provides us with the opportunity to develop prospective future employees who know the company's environment, are technically qualified, thus providing Hygro Training and the industry with competent human resources. This programme therefore contributes to two ends; namely the national skills upliftment of the country while giving something back to the education sector; and creating a competent pool of quality human resources for the industry.
How does the Experiential training programme work?
For a period of 1 year students will be placed at one of our projects where they will complete a range of internal training programmes to build their knowledge of our products/services and allow them to gain the practical experience required to complete their projects as prescribed by their tertiary institutions. Students will gain the opportunity to network with a number or stakeholders within in the agricultural industry and gain insight into the industry.
